Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. It includes recognition of life-threatening emergencies, providing high-quality chest compressions, delivering appropriate ventilations, and early use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
This course reflects the latest 2025 NHSF/PHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). It focuses on both individual performance and team dynamics to improve survival outcomes in emergency situations.
Course Objectives
By the end of the BLS training, participants will be able to:
Recognize cardiac arrest, stroke, and other life-threatening emergencies
Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
Use an AED quickly and effectively
Deliver effective ventilations using a barrier device
Work effectively as part of a team in multi-rescuer CPR scenarios
