What is ACLS?

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing advanced medical skills required in the treatment of cardiac arrest, stroke, and other life-threatening emergencies. The ACLS course is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

This course is aligned with the NHSF/PHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and is focused on improving clinical outcomes through early recognition and effective team-based response.

 Course Objectives

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize and manage respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Interpret ECG rhythms and identify life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Perform effective airway management
  • Understand pharmacology related to resuscitation
  • Lead or participate in a high-performance resuscitation team
  • Apply ACLS algorithms in real-time scenarios

Participants will receive an official NHSF/PHA Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.

⏱️ Course Duration

  • Initial ACLS Provider Course: 10 to 12 hours (1.5–2 days)
  • ACLS Renewal Course: 5 to 6 hours (for valid cardholders)
